[VIDEO] My stem cell collection experience and a big thank you

12:20am Friday, October 17th 2014.

How I’m feeling: Happy 🙂 And yes, still tingling from my NY trip. NY and I need to get a room already.

A video update on how Tuesday went and a big thank you to you. Yes, you!

P.S. It may have helped a little that the doctors and surgeons whom worked on my Quinton line were also – dare I say, good looking. Haha.

Listen to the Open Kwong Dore Podcast episode I was on here. Things got real personal real quick on (and off) air! I share my surreal moments leading up to being diagnosed w/ Lymphoma cancer, how I felt this sort of numbness in me, some observations I’ve made about life and relationships – and more!

My blood squirted all over the machine! It was kind of funny. I giggled. I’m not sure if the nurse found it funny. Heh.

  1. WooWee! It’s time to dance! Seriously if you have 5 days off and your energy is pretty good try a pre dance warm up and a bit of choreo.. in your loft or in the gym. Glad that you got that over with… today my sister is at Sunnybrook for her check-up and she is now over a year cancer free; you’ll be doing the same probably some time at the end of 2015. I was asked to audition for the professional troupe at the Egyptian Dance Academy tonight and that takes me out of my comfort zone completely!! I have no problems performing with one of their other troupes but having to audition is another story. I don’t even have the time to join the dance company but think I will do it just to prove to myself that I can. I’ll think of you before I go out there tonight and hopefully be less frightened 🙂

  2. Your looking good, Carolyn! I’m so happy to continue getting your posts. Sharing your experience has really causes one to pause and put things in perspective. Your ‘taking the bull by the horns’ approach is admirable and inspirational. Muah!
